Description

A real crude early pontiled blackglass rum or squat liquor bottle free blown in the 1700s Colonial Period....dug from a privy or trash pit in New Orleans......no embossing....crudely free blown so there are no mold seams....rough scratchy pontil scar on sunken bottom ...crude applied double ring collar....dark olive green blackglass....round squat ale shape with slightly belled out base.....9 1/4"tall x 3 3/4"round..... Good condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with haze.  Crude whittled glass. Neck has a slight natural lean. These are getting much more difficult to find these days as the digging has all but dried up. Guaranteed authentic pre 1800
